Pamela J.S. Hutchinson is a member of the University of Idaho, Potato Program of Distinction. She serves as a Principal Investigator on the GLOBAL Project, for which she conducts research on herbicide and agronomics with PCN trap crops. She is also co-leader of the Project's Extension, Outreach, and Education team. 

Dr. Hutchinson’s Potato Cropping Systems Weed Management Program research and extension efforts are focused on six main areas: 1) hairy nightshade biology and control, 2) weed management in new potato varieties, 3) potato weed control strategies with new and existing tools including herbicide resistance management, 4) herbicide and biopesticide environmental fate, 5) Weed – disease – insect interactions and 6) trap crop management.  Dr. Hutchinson received her PhD in Weed Science from the University of Nebraska in 1991 and has been with University of Idaho at the Aberdeen R&E Center since 1999.
