Joanna Kud joined the GLOBAL project in April 2018. She works with Dr. Louise-Marie Dandurand on molecular characterization of effectors produced by the pale cyst nematode (Globodera pallida) to promote parasitism.
Joanna received her M.Sc. in Immunology from Maria-Curie Sklodowska University in Poland (2011) where she worked on the impact of monoterpenes from essential oils on colon cancer cells. She then earned her Ph.D. in Plant Science at the University of Idaho, US (2017) investigating the dynamics of defense signaling network in tomato upon the bacterial infection.
