Christopher S. McIntosh is a professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology at the University of Idaho. Dr. McIntosh conducts research on issues related to crop production economics, statistical analysis of economic data, and economic impacts of crop diseases. He has collaborated on a number of grant and contract funded research projects targeted to potato production and provides assessments of the economic impacts of pests and diseases, including tuber necrotic potato viruses and pale cyst nematode. Dr. McIntosh received his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University in 1987. He joined the University of Idaho Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology department in 1999.
